Middle School Science & Social Studies: Mrs. Andy Cusimano

I teach 6th & 7th Grade Religion and 5th-8th Grade Science & Social Studies

Where I went to college, degrees that I have earned, and teaching experience:

I received a BS in Psychology from Loras College and a Certification in Paralegal Studies from Roosevelt University.  At Calumet College, I earned a BA in Elementary Education and Historical Perspectives Endorsements.  For 11 years I taught 7th Grade World History & 8th Grade US History and had previously done my student teaching in a self-contained 4th grade.  I also spent four years as a substitute teacher right here at St. Ann, and was on the St. Ann School Board for a three-year term.

Why I love teaching:

As a disciple, I find great joy each day when I am able to enhance my students’ knowledge of the world and our faith.

What I love to do outside of school:

One of my very favorite things to do in the morning is sit on my deck with a cup of coffee and watch the birds, squirrels, and bunnies. I take a moment of peace, I breathe, give thanks, and energize for the day!  My daughter, Casey, and my husband, Tony, and I love to do anything together!  We are like the three bears 😉  I also enjoy going to the movies, shopping at resale stores, and traveling.
